Taking into account that our audience has a high proportion of older people who may not feel it advisable to attend and to whom we have a duty of care, we must reluctantly cancel this concert.

About our soloist:

Hamish Mureddu-Reid studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Peter Lloyd before being awarded a scholarship to study with Susan Milan as a post graduate at the Royal College of Music.

 

He went to complete his studies at the National Centre for Orchestral studies. 

 

He has performed concertos with the Leeds Sinfonia and several times with the Lambeth Orchestra where Hamish was principal flute until 2016, and has given solo recitals both in the UK and Italy.

Hamish is now co-principal flute in the Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra. He is a member of the Lambeth Wind Quintet, made up of members and former members of the Lambeth Orchestra who have performed both in the UK and abroad.
